Mission
To create a safe environment for Holiday Lake kids to meet and have fun
Events
Donations
Kids Cove is run strictly by volunteers, therefore we rely on donations in the form of donating your time, supplies or monetary donations. The kids also host a Golf Cart Wash Fundraiser every July. Our income/expense form is available for all to view at each event
Events vary, some examples are movie night, kids bags, quiet olympics, crafts, bingo, etc.
Events are usually held January, February, March, April, May, September, October & November
Get Involved
All volunteers are welcome, whether it's just for one event or on a continued basis. Remember, it takes a village!!!

Why: A safe environment for Holiday Lake kids to meet and have fun
Holiday Lake Kids Cove has been in existence since February, 2018. The number of participants varies from month to month, but usually ranges from 10 - 25 kids per event.
Events are held through the winter months only. Kids Cove is run by Chris DiNaso and Heidi Sunkle on a volunteer basis. Both are full time residents of Holiday Lake. Heidi is a very knowledgeable and successful realtor with Exit Realty Hawkeye, so please contact her for all your buying or selling needs here at the lake. Feel free to contact either of us with any questions, concerns or suggestions. We'd love to hear from you. Chris 641-990-4090 Heidi 641-750-7812
Each parent or guardian will need to complete a one time form that consists of their name, phone number and their child/grandchild's name. Only one form is needed per family. Parents/Guardians are also required to check their children in and out of each event. We encourage all kids to bring a snack or drink to share, but it is not mandatory.
We've had several residents express a desire for us to reduce the age limit lower than age 7. At this time we don't feel it would be safe as it's generally just two adults at each event. We would welcome any other volunteers that would like to coordinate events for children younger than 7 years old. We would be happy to share the community center, our supplies and our funds. Come join us, let's expand!
We would like to take a moment to thank everyone that has donated to Kids Cove. The support has exceeded all our hopes and expectations. You'll find a list of names of those who have donated either money, supplies or time on the donation page. The outpouring from this community has been so outstanding, we apologize in advance if we've forgotten anyone.
Be sure to check out the donation page as we keep the list of items needed updated as donations come in. We also list Kids Cove information on the "Our Lake" facebook page.
